How to Add a Fan Photo


Step 1: Register for the Site

Before you can add your photo to the Fan Photo Album, you must first register for the site.  Registering is quick, easy and we promise never to sell your personal information.  Another added benefit to registering for the site is that you can quickly leave comments on news items and photos.  You can also access the registration link in the right hand column under the Meta header.

Step 2: Logout and Log back in to the The Creepshow Site

In order for you site registration to kick in for the Photo Albums, you must logout and log back in to the site.    It’s a bit of a pain but it stops the Internet robots from taking advantage of us.

Step 3: Checking to see if you have access

If you’ve logged out of the site and logged back in you should have access to add a photo to the fan photo album.   If you don’t have access to add a fan photo please email our webmaster at nicole@brainlava.com.

Step 4: Adding a Photo to the Fan Photos Album

Now comes the fun part, uploading your photos!  When you have acess to the Adding a Photo page in the Fan Photos album, you’ll have two options to add a Photo:

  1. From Web Browser:
    1. Click “Browse” button and a popup window will open
    2. Navigate to where your photo is on your computer
    3. Select the Photo
    4. Click the “Open” button in the popup window
    5. Enter in the Title of your Photo
    6. Select the “Add Items”
  2. From the Upload Applet (note you must have Java Support for this to work)
    1. Click the “Add Pictures” button
    2. Navigate to your files in the popup window
    3. Select the file you would like to upload
    4. Click Done on the popup window
    5. Select the photo that you just added to the upload window on the left and modify the caption found in the window on the right to what you want to call your photo
    6. Click “Upload” in the Java Applet window
  • Note: The image will automatically resize itself to fit in the dimensions for the website but you should avoid uploading massive files to the server to save space.

That’s it!

We are looking into granting privledges for people to edit and delete photos that they have uploaded but that currently does not exist. If you would like to have a photo modified that you have uploaded please contact our webmaster and she’ll help you out.

Remember…

We monitor all photos that are uploaded to this gallery.  Any photos that we deem inappropriate will be removed immediately.
